Everything you have: your business, your gifts, your creativity, your ideas…was given to you to manage on His behalf. You’re running operations on borrowed ground.

When this truth sits deep in your heart, your entire approach to business changes. You begin to work with reverence, not just ambition. Because you understand that everything you do is subject to His will and His evaluation.

David once said,“All things come from You, and of Your own have we given You.” — 1 Chronicles 29:14That’s the heart of stewardship. We give from what was given to us.

When God gives you an idea, a skill, or a platform, He’s actually trusting you with His property. You’re a custodian of His capital.He gives the seed. You manage the soil. He gives the vision. You handle the execution. But He still owns both.That’s why your ultimate responsibility is alignment, to stay close enough to the Owner so His will can find full expression through what you build.

Now that you know you’re a steward, here’s the next principle: faithfulness is required.It’s not a suggestion. It’s a demand.

Faithfulness isn’t just about showing up. It's about consistency, integrity, and diligence with what God has placed in your hands.

Remember the parable of the talents? Two servants multiplied what they were given. One hid his. The result was that two were promoted and one was punished.

The lesson is clear: If you don’t manage well what belongs to another, you won’t be trusted with more.God’s metrics are not like ours. He doesn’t just measure profit margins or performance. He measures faithfulness. And His reward system is different too.When the Master returned in Matthew 25:21, He didn’t give money as a reward. He gave territory.“You’ve been faithful over a few things; I’ll make you ruler over many.”

God rewards faithfulness with influence: territories, cities, nations.So when He says, “Occupy till I come,” He’s not talking about mere business activity. He’s talking about stewardship: doing business on His behalf until He returns.

If you’ve been unfaithful with what He calls “unrighteous mammon”(earthly wealth) how will He trust you with the true riches?

That’s the question every believer in business must sit with.Your stewardship on earth is a test run for eternal responsibility. If you’re faithful here, He’ll make you ruler there.Your task is to stay faithful.Because in the Kingdom, faithfulness determines fruitfulness, and faithfulness unlocks promotion.
