Every lasting business begins with a plan. Not just a business plan, but a divine one. Dear believer, your business has a manual. God already has the blueprint for how it should look, grow, and impact lives. Your job is to follow the manual.
If you must be a leader, you must first be a learner. Every successful entrepreneur is first a student: reading, researching, and learning from others. We read books, listen to podcasts, attend seminars, and gather wisdom from people’s experiences. Sometimes, we see ourselves directly through those narratives and other times, something in us yearns for more insight that'll take us on some further journey into discovery and application.
There’s something Scripture calls “the volume of the books.” (Psalm 40:7) The real wisdom and pattern you need to build anything lasting is already in the Word of God.
Before we show you how, let's talk about templates and blueprints.
A template/blueprint is like a framework containing a detailed map or plan about what to do and the way the finished work will look like when done.
Before any building begins, an architect draws a blueprint: a detailed design that shows what to build, how to build it, and what it will look like when done. That’s how God works too. When He told Moses to build the tabernacle, He said, “See that you make everything according to the pattern shown to you on the mount.”David also received the blueprint for the temple Solomon later built. Some blueprints come as clear revelation, others come as gentle impressions on the heart, but both come from God.Your Business Has a Heavenly Design
There’s a version of your business that already exists in heaven: its structure, its values, even its mission. Your task is to align what you build on earth with what God has already designed above. That’s when His glory rests on your work and it truly becomes a kingdom business.
This means our creativity isn’t meant to replace God’s plan. Instead, it’s meant to serve it. Let Him use your ideas, not the other way around.
Every God-given blueprint has pillars that must never change. Pillars like truth, integrity, service, love. When those shift, the whole structure weakens. The “pattern shown to you on the mount” must be followed to the letter.
God may give new instructions, but He never contradicts Himself. His updates are always additions, not revisions. That’s why we must resist every “modern” idea that looks effective but doesn’t align with His principles. Not every good idea is a God idea.
So, if you’ve been wondering how to build your business according to plan, start by opening the Manual. It’s not a business textbook. It’s the Word of God.
Follow it, and your business will not just grow. It will last.
